The corridor is located where the former dining hall entry was located.

This new center will accommodate our extraordinary growth over the past 15 years, as well as future enrollment growth which we expect to grow significantly by 2025. The new center will include:

  • a dining hall
  • recreational facilities for intramural sports
  • new fitness facility
  • classrooms
  • meeting spaces
  • convocation center
  • a weight room, and more

The new building will be completed in two phases. The expected completion date for phase 1 is January 2018. Phase 2 is expected to be completed in October 2018.

Paul J. Norman Center, future home of the Byrum School of Business

Our new business school will house the latest technology and collaboration spaces in the state. Scheduled to open in January of 2018, we expect this new building to serve as an innovative space supporting our hands-on curriculum where students learn by collaborating with businesses.

Construction began December 2016 with a target completion date of January 2018.

Where do I park?

During the first phase of construction, we will lose 60 parking spaces behind and between Clare Hall, Marian Hall, and Oldenburg Hall. The Office of Campus Operations is working to open up more parking spaces to replace the ones we will lose.

More parking will be lost in late May, when phase two construction begins and the university is developing an off-campus parking and shuttle plan for the Fall 2017 semester to accommodate the loss of parking.

What's moving where...and when?

Alternate spaces are in development to accommodate all students through the duration of construction on the Center for Student Success in Life, Learning, and Leadership. These spaces include:

  • Locker rooms, which will be constructed in the lower level of Clare Hall for use during the 2017-18 academic year. These locker rooms are scheduled to open in June 2017.
  • The athletic training department, which will relocate from the PE Center to the former campus operations building on the west end of campus. The Office of Campus Operations has moved to the lower level of Clare Hall.
